My name is Madalina Bagenac, aka Medeea. I have been singing since the age of 10. For as long as I can remember, music has always been an important part of my life, a means of expression, growth, connection, and often times a refuge and safe space. Five years ago, I decided to pursue a career in music and find my own audience. I've recorded a dozen tracks so far; I've released several singles which have made it on to the radio; and I have experienced the opportunity to sing live on stage, on several occasions. Being a recording artist in year 2021 is quite a unique experience thanks in part to the existence of the social media. I often see it as an extension of my "brand experience". As an artist, it offers me the opportunity to directly connect with my audience, it has partially put the power back into the hands of artists, making it easier for artists to share and distribute their art through various social platforms. Having an online presence as an artist has also enabled me to give my audience a sneak peek of the woman behind the artist, which I believe to be important as my music intertwines Madalina and Medeea to create the final product I ultimately present my audience with. Besides my music, i also enjoy branching out into other areas, at times, such as fashion, beauty, lifestyle. I strongly believe that the creative process can never be contained to a sole domain. My audience doesn't only listen to my music because of the sound or message I deliver through my songs. They fancy the whole experience of who Medeea is as a product, they enjoy the brand itself.
